THIS JUST IN FROM OUR GLOBAL ONLINE TRIBE: When I am buried in a burden caused by a circumstance or by another person, I feel trapped by Satan with no way out. What should I do when that happens?
This is a great question because Satan loves to use our painful circumstances and problems to drop us into his dark and dirty prison. And you’re not alone. Every believer faces this challenge a lot, if not every day.
The process of dealing with this predicament begins with fully RELEASING CONTROL of it to God by being honest with him about the burden. Giving it all to him without holding anything back. Crying and lamenting about the problem and its pain.
He will not be shocked. He already knows it all, of course. And he stands ready to help us defeat the Enemy if we: 1) Bathe in his TRUTH; 2) Bathe the circumstance in PRAYER; and 3) Bathe our challenge in WORSHIP.
Bathe your challenge in TRUTH…
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.” Romans 15:4
Bathe your challenge in PRAYER…
“I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.” Romans 15:30
Bathe your challenge in WORSHIP…
“Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:19-20
The Enemy hates it when we anchor on God’s TRUTH and trust his promises to overcome our challenges.
The Enemy hates it when we PRAY to God—and ask OTHERS to pray for us–and activate his power.
The Enemy hates it when we WORSHIP God. So sing your praises to him. Thank him for who he is and what he has done for you.
The Enemy would love nothing more than to have us stay buried in our burdens and be disconnected from God and his truths. Fight back!
I thank God for who he is and for his never-ending love. For the promises and hope found in his Word. For pushing me to give him my burdens and bathe then in his TRUTH, PRAYER, and WORSHIP.
