A QUICK CHALLENGE FOR YOU TODAY
Our culture tells us to endure the constant pressure of life’s uncertainty and to keep trying hard so we can eventually prevail. It’s nonsense and simply not true. Get ready, you’re about to test your uncertainty.
God says uncertainty is unacceptable, yet we still fall prey to its powerful force and a natural, human reaction to our surroundings and the machinations of life. And it won’t stop knocking at our door any time soon. That’s the bad news. The good news is we can push back the lie that uncertainty can be controlled by worrying.
Here’s my approach: I ask God every day to help me see how much uncertainty I am carrying around. Then I pray for guidance on how to move toward HIS presence, perspective, and power to push it into the distant background.
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
When we are tempted to worry in a storm of UNCERTAINTY, we should meditate on the CERTAINTY that God is always in control. That he will never leave our side. That he always keeps his promises.
Take your “UNCERTAINTY PULSE” right now. Be honest with yourself and consider what you are uncertain about and why. Then toss it over to God.
