Where Do Those Grammy Outfits Come From?

February 11, 2019
Spiritual Growth

I watched the Grammys last night with a kaleidoscope of emotions ranging from bemusement to fascination to sheer exhilaration.

The narrative playing in my mind beneath those emotions was dominated by the superficial pageantry.  But the theme of the night for me was PRAYER.

You’re no doubt wondering (like me) where and why that thought originated. I’m not sure about that, but as each scene played out last night under a crisp winter moon in Hollywood, I spotted something or someone to pray for. Every single one.

The star shining on the outside and ravaged by pain on the inside. The misguided aspirant. And the lost soul.

What did God teach me through this experience?

That there is ALWAYS something or someone to pray for. But we have to look. We have to want to spot an opportunity. And we have to want the blessing God gives us through our prayers.

We must be ready to pray for and serve EVERYONE…not just ourselves. Not just people close to us. And not just when we need something.

I ask God to give me the eyes and heart to see what I should pray for today…for every day.

HOW ABOUT YOU?

Who or what must you pray for today?

“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.” James 5:13
