It’s Easy To Quit Something You Haven’t Started

This just in from our global online tribe of 700,000 followers: You write a lot about activating my faith but why is it that no matter how hard I try nothing changes in how I feel and act?

I think about this piercing and critically important question every day. Why, indeed, are millions of Christians around the world having trouble fully activating their faith?

If you are expecting a long answer to that question, it’s not coming. The answer is complicated, but short. Here it is…

Most cases of INACTIVE FAITH can be traced to Christians being HYPNOTIZED by a world that does not exist.

Once in this hypnotic state, it does not take long before we are recruited into the GET CLUB to get this and get that.

The GET CLUB does not always steer us toward a shiny Tesla or a towering mansion. It can be “just a little more” money and security. Just a little more of this. Just a little more of that.

THE GET CHASE!

We use the CHASE TO GET as a narcotic to dull the pain of an aching heart and a fractured soul. Going on the get chase helps us avoid locking eyes with Satan like a youngster avoids their obnoxious and potted uncle at a Fourth of July barbeque.

At this point it becomes easy for us to quit something we have not started. And not starting to activate our faith is QUITTING.

We cannot focus on our true worth in Christ when we are in a full gallop on our get chase.

Resigning from the GET CLUB comes when we switch our priority from satisfying worldly cravings to satisfying Christ.

I ask God to keep me focused on activating my faith by surrendering to him; connecting with him; and obeying him.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

What are you trying to GET right now?

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

Hey, like this? Why not share it with a buddy?
