CoronaVirus Just Ran EASY Out Of Town

Spiritual Growth

Man has always been on a hunt for an EASY LIFE with plenty of comfort and certainty; but no discomfort or uncertainty. CoronaVirus is just the latest, though severe, case of EASY being run out of town.

I woke up this morning with a restive mind stuck on the confusing notion that we expect life to be EASY, while God expects us to seek his ENLIGHTENMENT.

It took me three seconds to realize that God’s take on this subject makes sense because it’s IMPOSSIBLE to find meaning and purpose in EASY!

CoronaVirus is a Pop-Up message from God alerting us to the world’s spyware dancing on our life’s screen.

It is his reminder that we cannot minimize the world’s darkness by bathing in its bright, secularized lights that promise to block us from the dark with SPF 1000.

The evil darkness of CoronaVirus, and the pain it inflicts—do NOT render God impotent or powerless. They create a stage for God to display his GREATNESS.

God allows this kind of carnage so we will long for ETERNITY and the rich and righteous power of the Lord of Heaven and earth.

In the meantime and in the middle of  life’s pain, we must recognize that trials like CoronaVirus test our faith; develop our spiritual strength; and build Christ-like character.

It is in times like these that even though Satan wants to topple us, God wants to teach us. All we need to do is choose HIM.

To that end, CoronaVirus has prompted me to ask him every day what I can learn about myself, my faith, my character, my priorities, my relationships, and my attitude toward life.

I ask God to give me the wisdom and strength to be enlightened by him during this time of testing and trial caused by CoronaVirus.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Are you taking time to be ENLIGHTENED by God now that EASY has been run out of town or are you stuck on mourning the death life without pain?

“But if any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, who will give it to you; because God gives generously and graciously to all.” James 1:5

Hey, like this? Why not share it with a buddy?
