The World’s PATIENCE TANK Is About To Run Dry

May 14, 2020
Spiritual Growth

The world is quickly running out of patience like a kid runs out of nickels on his first run to the mini-mart. Lock down and shut down have become trigger words that slice a piece off everyone. “REOPENING” is now a surreal soundtrack crackling in the background while we search for a switch to flip our life back to “NORMAL.”

Believers and unbelievers alike are in the middle of this nasty fight over what is looking very much like a ONCE-EVERY-HUNDRED YEARS event.

The story of this COVID-19 pandemic and “life as we knew it” is about to be printed in the history books under the category CHANGE.

Of course it is about uncertainty. But the legacy of COVID-19 will be CHANGE in just about EVERYTHING.

We may never see the incredible and stark difference between a life surrendered to Jesus vs a life subject to the whims of the world.

We need to move our focus OFF uncertainty and ONTO building our faith around CHANGE and this so-called “new normal.”

Shifting from UNCERTAINTY  to CHANGE has radically and refreshingly transformed my own perspective as a follower of Jesus on planet earth in the 2020s. Here’s why…

We have two choices when a fast-moving RIVER OF CHANGE comes rushing at us:

Get our gear, slip into the river’s current, and let Jesus guide us to the shore of REALITY.

Stay in place and be consumed by the rising waters of change that devour those rigid souls fixed to the ground they have trusted for so many years.

We can keep wishing for and chasing the past; or we can pray for and receive God’s direction to a changed future.

I ask God to move me away from wishing for and chasing the past and move me toward praying for and receiving his directions to a changed future.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?
Are you ready to trust God to help you accept CHANGE?

“For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3

Hey, like this? Why not share it with a buddy?
