The WORLD Is Rooting For YOU To CRASH

Spiritual Growth

The world loves it when Christians crash due to their sinful choices and become a corrupt spring that produces impure water.

“Like a muddied spring or a polluted well are the righteous who give way to the wicked.” Proverbs 25:26

Paul taught Timothy that a righteous man in Christ must guard both his personal and spiritual life. That he must rely on the power of God’s Word to live a sanctified, holy life. That our success in this endeavor keeps our life and those we touch from running off the road in a fiery crash.

The world mocks Christians when their character or conduct shows a crack of hypocrisy. It is our responsibility to avoid that crash by living a virtuous life that allows for no such criticism of the Lord.

It is not a matter of “trying hard to be good.” We cannot “be good” on our own. That’s like wearing new socks in bad shoes and expecting comfort.

Living a life of Christ-like virtue comes from EMULATING JESUS. He and he alone sets the example for how to live in a way that will not give Satan the means to cause a spiritual crash in our life.

IT’S OUR SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITY

Righteousness in Christ demands that we avoid a crash with the world while traveling life’s road. WHY? So we can fulfill our sacred responsibility to bring God’s life-giving sustenance to those we meet along the way.

It’s a matter of having SPIRITUAL CONFIDENCE and believing God’s promise that we will never be left “high and dry.” We will never be alone. We will never need to be afraid of our own shadow.

God has painted us in a dappled palette of shadows and light. It is our mission to discover our unique, personal colors on that palette and then keep moving on his road—without crashing–so they can be viewed by others and glorify the Lord.

I ask God to help me guard my personal and spiritual actions by relying on the power of his Word to live a sanctified, holy life.

We will make mistakes? Of course. That’s not the point. The point is whether we give them to God, seek forgiveness, and grow spiritually in order to shine his light for all to see.

HOW ABOUT YOU?

Are you drinking from a polluted stream?

“Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:31

“Like a muddied spring or a polluted well are the righteous who give way to the wicked.” Proverbs 25:26

Hey, like this? Why not share it with a buddy?
