God sent his son at Christmas–a GIFT of his love and grace—to forgive our past; bless our present; and ensure our eternity.
It’s a gift that began on Christmas day but does not and must not end there. It’s a gift that keeps on giving every day of the year. It’s a gift that MUST be REGIFTED with custom door mats along with love and compassion.
Of course Christmas is joyful. But our joy at this time of year is not an annual “one-off” experience. It is an annual reminder that must not end at Christmas. It is an opportunity to GIVE the gift we have RECEIVED.
Think about it…Christmas is all about giving, right? Of course. And the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).
We REGIFT that beautiful Harry & David Holiday Basket with great results. Why don’t we REGIFT the blessings that come with the birth of Christ?
The more times we REGIFT Christ, the deeper his presence envelopes our spiritual DNA. This gesture of love not only transforms another person’s life for eternity, it transforms OUR spirit on the spot.
It’s true. Our enjoyment of Jesus, especially at Christmas, goes UP as we REGIFT his gift to others.
We can multiply our joy by sharing it this Christmas and beyond. We can pass on the forgiveness, goodness, and promise of eternity we have received in Christ to another person. In the process, we will increase OUR joy.
The first Christmas was the gift of Christ coming into the world to give us eternal life by sacrificing in our place and rising again. And this Christmas — like every Christmas — is a time when God keeps on giving.
I ask God to prepare my heart to regift him this Christmas.
WHAT ABOUT YOU?
Will you REGIFT Christ this Christmas?
