There Was a GAP Between My Salvation And My Life

Most believers claim that their faith is ACTIVATED and evident in how they live. But a large percentage of Christians on the planet are moving their faith car on but a fraction of the power God makes available.

Indeed, there is a GAP between their salvation gift and living their life.

Imagine what those lives would look like if they closed that gap, even a little. And just imagine if they closed it a lot.

How many lives would be transformed? Pain avoided?  Relationships healed? Churches empowered for service and mission?

We can and must close the gap between who we are in our faith walk and who God wants us to be.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

Seeking God with all of our heart requires energetic passion and diligence and commitment. But there’s more. It means we are “open to” whatever he would have us do. That we are fully yielding everything to him. That we are living in faithful obedience.

Everything starts and ends with God, his grace, and his power to work for good in our life. Our hands are necessary elements, but the power and outcome come from the Lord flowing through our faith and resolve.

And when the work is done Jesus is glorified because God did it all.

For me, I ask God to give me the strength and resolve to power up my prayers and close the gap between acting as the boss of my life and trusting him IMMEDIATELY in all things.

HOW ABOUT YOU?

How big is the gap between you acting as the boss of your life and relying on God?

Hey, like this? Why not share it with a buddy?
