Every soul on planet earth is going to sit in the JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST and account for what they have done in their life—the good…the bad…and the ugly.
Yes, even the Beatles and Kardashians. Everyone.
We may be able to appeal all the way to the Supreme Court, but there is no higher court in heaven than the judgment seat of Christ. And it is Jesus, himself judged and nailed to the cross, who will sit atop the throne and render the final word.
“For all of us must appear before Christ, to be judged by him. We will each receive what we deserve, according to everything we have done, good or bad, in our bodily life.” 2 Corinthians 5:10
We should not be fooled by outward appearances. Many people only appear to be right with God.
Tech billionaires; Oprah; oil sheiks, world leaders; policemen and firemen; tyrants and despots; your next-door neighbor; and the U.S. President will all be there along with the Beatles and Kardashians to be judged.
We should be mindful of this pending judgment as we live out our earthly life. We should do everything possible to please God and subordinate the world. And we should remember that our life will NOT be judged for its quantity, but for the motives animating it and glorifying God as its author.
Our earthly rewards are temporal and will perish, but the rewards we receive at the Judgment Seat of Christ are eternal.
Since God will know everything about my life on judgment day and I will be without excuse, I pray now to be worthy of acquittal on that glorious day.
