Have YOU ever hit ROCK BOTTOM? You know…the point where life cannot get worse. Nothing good left to lose. No depth lower to fall.

Hitting ROCK BOTTOM is a wake-up call and strength-summoning moment to interrupt our life’s journey. An option to travel on a new road without the possibility of going back.
  
ROCK BOTTOM does not have to be a dramatic story of addiction, sex, drugs, rock-n-roll, homelessness, and the worst kind of sins imaginable. It may be an event, but it also may be a state of hopelessness and despair.
  
EVERYBODY has a ROCK BOTTOM.
  
Though it may be difficult to see God’s WHY behind the ROCK BOTTOMS of life, in all cases–no matter how painful or challenging—he has a plan for every single one of them.

GOD’S CONTROL
Our inclination is to deny it, but we all want to play God and control our life. Hitting ROCK BOTTOM shreds that desire and puts GOD IN CONTROL.
  
GOD’S BEAUTY
Hitting ROCK BOTTOM gives us a glimpse of God’s unending love for us no matter what the circumstances may be. We realize in that moment that he will NEVER abandon us, even if everyone else does.
  
GOD’S ROCK                                                   
The ROCK BOTTOM metaphor is powerful because Jesus is our ROCK of strength. It may be a cliché, but ROCK BOTTOM means “there is only one way to go and God wants it to be UP.
  
Charles Spurgeon puts it like this: “When there is no joy in the present, you can know that there is infinite joy in the future.”
