I Just Realized My Life’s Time Clock Is Running Out!

All of us are waging a war with time and, because of how much is at stake, God is watching intently to see how it turns out. For us. For our families. For the people who need to hear the Gospel of Christ.

The time battle restarts every day with the rising sun and marches forward inexorably toward its closing bell and a brief respite through the night before greeting us with yet another high-stakes fight. How it plays out determines whether or not we spend time with God each day. Whether we grow spiritually. And whether we become inspired and equipped to serve God.

Time and its illusionary backdrop remains a mysterious conundrum. But one thing we do know for certain–our days are numbered.

Albert Einstein revealed in the early 1990s that the passage of time depends on circumstance and environment. He showed that the wristwatches worn by two individuals moving relative to one another would tick off time at different rates.

Here’s my takeaway—the more we MOVE, the more we perceive there to be more time on our life’s clock. I’m all for that! And so is God who wants to use us.

God operates in the spirit realm beyond our physical senses. Scripture reveals that God lives outside the bounds of time as we know it. Our destiny was planned “before the beginning of time” (2 Timothy 1:9).

Our role is to make the most of every precious minute. For me that means MOVING, taking ACTION, and maximizing my IMPACT right now because I just realized my life’s time clock is running out!

I ask God to help me make the most of every precious minute by constantly moving and taking action in order to maximize my impact for him and his Kingdom.

HOW ABOUT YOU?

Are you winning the war for your time?

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
