As the curtains open to another one of God’s magnificent days on this brisk Southern California dawn, I’m spread out with my laptop perched on two scarred and no longer sturdy knees wondering what happened yesterday when doubt and fear invaded my space and crashed my party.
It’s hard to shake the memory of those angst-fueled thoughts bouncing off the walls of my restive mind like an obnoxious machine in Las Vegas with balls plunging down and finally settling in their final spot to announce who much the player lost.
Are you kidding me? My ministry is called Love God Fear Nothing for heaven’s sake.
Ah…but that is precisely the point. Is there a better target for Satan to attack? C’mon…it’s a sitting duck.
AND SO ARE YOU! And every other believer. Sitting ducks…UNLESS we remember and deploy God’s protection promise to live by faith, not sight…

IT HAPPENED TO ME!
I know all about this because it HAPPENED TO ME!
And the only reason it stopped was because I asked God to give me the courage to stand up and declare that he is Lord and I am not. That this is earth, not heaven. That the dark voice villain will NOT win…will NEVER win.
“My Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.” Haggai 2:5.
THE ANTIDOTE
We need to ask GOD to help us fight off doubt and stop trying to do everything on our own. Leaving that promise buried and inaccessible creates a huge target for Satan to toss a volley of bullets into our vulnerable state.
